A recent irrigation plan for the Wood Ranch Townhomes in Simi Valley. This design uses an innovative combination of drip emitters, flexible PVC hose, and ultraviolet-resistant rigid PVC pipe to irrigate shrubs planted on manufactured slopes and in fuel modification (wildfire protection) zones. Installing the irrigation components on grade downstream of the irrigation control valves is cost effective while minimizing possible erosion of the manufactured slopes which can occur from surface runoff channelizing in trenches.
