Most irrigation designs start with the preparation of a Utility Services & Sleeving Coordination Plan. This is a coordination document for irrigation infrastructure items which are installed by trades other than an irrigation contractor. These items include water service lines and meters, electric services and meters, telephone services for central control systems, and sleeving under the streets for irrigation piping and control wiring. This plan is furnished to other project team consultants, such as civil engineers and utility coordinators, to insure the infrastructure is added to the appropriate plans and is in place when irrigation system installation commences.
